Not so long ago everything was repaired, even broken toys. I remember in my childhood going to a relative to give new splendour to one of my damaged toys. With good will, improvised techniques and materials at hand, the function of the toy was restored, although, inevitably, the results altered its original aesthetics, producing surreal results.
This childhood keepsake inspires this piece "The Three Graces", three Barbie dolls mutilated by use and lovingly repaired.
