The project of Cruficicada was suggested by the promoter of the work. Fortunately, it was not difficult to bring this project to my land so that I could solve it with the greatest possible passion.
My illusion had always been to carve a Crucifixed, because of the simple experience and romanticism that a project of such magnitude implies.
I immediately understood that the proposal to carve a crucifixed woman was even more evocative because of the questions it suggested.
The simple fact of replacing the male protagonist of the crucifixion with a woman transforms the original religious meaning of this universal icon, making itprofane.
Even so, the "Crucificada" in her most aesthetically pleasing appreciation continues to exude spirituality.
