The model is clear, quickly recognizable. The arm of a baroque Christ. Lying on the floor, in a desolate space, the image projects a certain decay.
Although it is a fragment, it is not a "tragic" break. It is simply a disassembled element of a unity.
Its image generates strangeness, questions. Where is the rest of the body? What place of worship was it in? Why is it like this? This is what
happens when a work associated to a meaning and space is changed of scene, its mystery remains the same but inevitably its meaning changes.
The image of the "forgotten arm" is not an exercise in iconoclasm, on the contrary, it praises a form and the craft that generates it.
